All new uniform orders will be available for pick-up on Monday, March 21 from 6-7:30pm at the WVSDB
(Some teams only had one player that needed a uniform so please save your coach the hassle if your child has ordered)
Uniforms that are not picked up will be arranged to be distributed later throughout the week.
We have been instructed by national to add the Fox Sports logo to the front pocket of our jersey’s. Your coaches will be collecting jerseys to take them to get this done. We really don’t want parents doing this themselves or taking the jersey to GSG, we have asked coaches to do this to eliminate some confusion. Thanks!
Because we as a board hate to turn children away from our league we have decided to do ONE final registration.
It will be tomorrow evening (2-19-16) from 6-7pm @ Covenant Baptist Church (up stairs)
There are a couple stipulations however:
1. If you have a new player to register YOU MUST go on line and complete the entire process including linkage of accounts with National (the number is provided to you, they are open till 8pmour time), esign the forms, print out two copies and bring your payment with you tomorrow. If you don’t have internet or a printer, please go to the library, they have both.
2. If you have a returning Fall 2015 player, you must come to the registration tomorrow and bring payment. If you child needs a uniform you must come to pay for this tomorrow.
3. If you have a player that has played in the past, you can go into eayso.org
and choose the option “My child has played AYSO but I’ve not used this system”. you will have to create an account. and call national. If your child needs a uniform, you MUST come tomorrow
evening to pay for that uniform.
4. New players need to bring birth certificate to show proof of age.
5. NO additional signups will be taken after 7pm tomorrow. Regardless of reason.
PARENTS PLEASE UNDERSTAND WE ARE VOLUNTEER BOARD MEMBERS, WE HAVE FULL TIME JOBS, AND CHILDREN. WE ARE TRYING TO BE ACCOMIDATING TO HELP THE CHILDREN IN OUR LEAGUE. WE HAVE SIGN UPS THE LAST TWO SATRUDAY’S OF OUR SEASON FOR RETURNING PLAYERS TO MAKE SIGN UPS EASIER. WE HAVE TO HAVE TIME TO GET EVERYTHING PROCESSED TO PREPARE FOR OUR SEASON. WE APOLOGIZE THIS DOES NOT FIT EVERYONES SCHEDULE. BUT WE ARE DOING THE BEST WE CAN.
If you can please share this, if you can’t share it from here, try one of the other sites (Eye on Romney, yard sale sites) and share from there. This is the LAST opportunity to sign up for HCYSL ~ AYSO 1117 Spring 2016 soccer.
Spring 2016 Season will begin 4-2-16 and run thru 5-14-16 and the u10 and U14 tournaments will be played on 5-21-16. This avoids Easter weekend and Memorial Day weekend. This makes us have a regular season of 7 weeks, but the schedule will allow for U5/U6 and U8 to play a double header at least one saturday during the season to get in 8 games. Upon careful consideration, the board has decided that all games will be held once again at the WV School for the Deaf and Blind.
Spring Registration dates are February 5th @ Covenant Baptist Church from 6-8, and February 6th @ Covenant Baptist Church from 9-noon. New players will need to come in person but if you have a child that played in the Fall 2015 you can send a check in the amount of $10 indicating you wish for your child to play again this spring. We are planning to get a post office box, so we will update everyone with that address later. IF your child needs a uniform, you will need to come get it during one of the registrations.
We have made some changes to our board. All active board members now have official positions. We are also looking at adding a couple committees to our group to help with some of the larger duties.
Having teams stay and help with cleanup after games went very well last season, we plan to keep this going as well as ask the first teams playing in the mornings to come 30 min prior to their games to help with set up. We will also be asking for assistance with keeping our fields lined during the season, if you’d like to help with that please contact Crystal High-Thorne or Dale Myers, to get your volunteer application completed. on that note, if you completed a volunteer application last fall, it will remain good for this spring as well.
We continue to need referee’s so please keep that in mind as a way to volunteer for our region. If you’d consider this something you are intersted in please contact Kelli Ruckman.
Coaches, Andy Gray, has sent an email to each of you that requires a response, please check this and get back with him so that we can be ready for our season. We may be in need of some additional coaches if you are interested please contact Andy Gray ASAP so we can get the necessary paperwork completed and the process started.
We plan to have our coaches meeting on March 13th @ Covenant Baptist Church, it will then be the responibilites of each coach to contact parents with all rules and guidelines for this season.
Central Hampshire fields have been checked by some of our board and are not ready to be played on yet. Please keep an eye out for updates regarding this.
The board is looking into possibly providing AYSO Soccer camps sometime in the future, as we know more, more info will be provided to you.
Several of our board members will be having children aging out in the next few seasons. This means there will likely be a switch in leadership and the need for new board members. If you are interested in this amazing opportunity please see one of us and express your interest. HCYSL ~ AYSO 1117 Board
We are hosting a Halloween Spooktacular Tounament on October 31st. It will begin at 10 am and is a quick paced tournament and should only last a few hours. There will be u8, u10, u14, u19 and adult divisions. Please contract Kathy Strawn for all the details.
